Thumbs up Re: gunstock WIP

Great work ElWood Thumbs Up I have been asked a number of times to try some gunstock carving, haven't found the time yet but I have made and carved on pistol grips.

I recommend carving on a practice piece before doing anything detailed. It seems kind of tedious at first but once you settle in to it, it is really hard to put the knife down

I'm using a knife and a skew for about 90% of it I had to resort to diamand bit (dremel) around the antlers. things could change however when I get done roughing. This is new to me and I couldn't tell you where it will lead as far as tools go when I start detailing.
