Talking Forum Change Suggestion

Now I may be a newcomwer here but, I think that this forum should have it's umbilical cut ( either with a chipping knife or a gouge ) and we list the Chipping and Relief in two separate forums. It kind of gives the chippers and gougers a warm fuzzy feeling as a nice home for our separate and quite distinct art forms, to meet. You know that cameraderie and feeling of togetherness stuff. How about you powers that be?? It's quite a simple little move that could be a force to unite chippers and gougers in their own little warm spots on the internet? Huh? Please? Pretty Please, Pretty Please with sugar on it? "Doc"

I say leave things as they are. Despite the fact that I'm a bird carver that uses power tools, I enjoy haveing ready access to all forms of woodcarving with a simple click of the mouse. We're all carvers and we can learn from each other.

I don’t know if I got this correct or not, you want to separate from the power carvers and chainsaw carvers? Not many of us are just one or the other I use gouges, grinders, chainsaws and knives.

I think 'Doc' sees chip carving as being sufficiently different from relief carving as to warrant the splitting of this forum board into two separate forum boards. His suggestion has merit, IMO.

Unfortunately, we're approaching our limit, from a design standpoint, for adding new forums. I'll definitely discuss it with the design team, but I can't make any promises at this time.
