Default A Flower that I Carved Saturday

I've been trying to teach myself how to chip carve for the last three months. I only have time to carve on the weekends because I'm 61 and still have to work about 50 hours per week and I'm just too tired to go into my shop and work when I get home from work.

I haven't done a lot of relief carving so I'm just pretty much of a beginner at relief carving. This past Saturday morning I thought that this simple flower pattern would be something good to carve so I did it. I really enjoyed carving this little flower.

I think it is a really nice flower. I too don't relief carve, but want to learn it. I admire your quality on the first attempt, you seem to have a knack for relief. Keep at it!

I've had computer problems last week and haven't had much time to come here. Thanks so much for all of the kind words of encouragement.
