Default Flag box

I just finished up this chip carved flag box with the plaque and it's quote. I used butternut for all three elements. The flag is 8/4 and dyed blue then chip carved thru the dye. The box frame and plaque are bleached then chip carved thru.

Rog,
Beautiful carving for a beautiful theme. But Rog, bleaching butternut sounds sacrilegious to me.

Beautiful job Rog. Interesting how the bleaching stays on the surface, and yet shows through the butternut colors when you carved it.

I salute you, Tom

Excellent job. I really like your techniques to make the stars and lettering stand out - beautiful.
