Default First attempt at chip carving

I said a couple of weeks ago that once I got internet set up at the house I would upload some pics. Here's a celtic cross I carved for my wife off of a design I got off the internet. I have several wood spirit and green men design that I am going to attempt at chip carving next. Thought it would be an interesting twist on wood spirits, especially chip carving the individual aspects of the beards.

Nice job on the cross. I carve the same pattern with a few modifications. The main one is I carve 2 strands instead of 3. I do a couple hundred a yr and it saves me time. It is a very old pattern. I was told by a lady from London that it was from Iona.
