 Finished Gentlemen's Box I'm new to the board and I wasn't certain if this is the correct place to post finished projects. Just completed this box for my Father Inlaw. He is 76 this year, has had 5 strokes, broken bones this past year, and a touch of Alzheimers. My wife and I wanted to make him something that was unique and special for him. This is what we came up with. He is a Christian man so we went with a cross on the top, and you can see the message inside. The wood is Brazilian Cherry with tung oil only, no fancy joinery as I was in a hurry to complete this for Pop's birthday. My first attempts at relief carving. It's basswood with a coat of poly.
