Great job on the eagles Joy.

Framing these multi-level pieces can be a pain. The only frame I have been satisfied with is on another Engler piece. Here, I turned the frame backwards and this allowed a little overlap onto the carving. It's kind of an optical illusion, but you are looking at the backside of the frame with the carving standing out from the wall.

Great idea, Paul! I am working with a shadow box with blocks behind the picture to bring it forward. But I may see if I have an old frame and try your approach.

Thank you for the compliment and idea.

Joy, WOW! looking at this, I thought it looked like a painting. This speaks volumes of the eagle, their freedom, the open sky, all of it. This is really nice. What ever you do with the frame make sure that it does not take anything away from this beautiful carving.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark
