Here is the eagle( or it may look like a chicken for all I know) that I have been working on this last week or so. This is the last pattern that I layed out myself. I used to carry it around to my demonstrations and show how I did it but decided to carve it. I will still use it in my next class. It measures 18" diameter and is cut from 2" thick basswood. I stained it with some golden pecan at least that's what they told me it was. It has one coat of satin finish on it so far it will get at least two more. But I wanted to show it I am expecting a package from santa (Ash) today that will keep me busy for awhile. Just like Christmas! Thanks for looking and comments are welcome good or bad. Ron

Hojoplus you asked if it is a scroll saw pattern. The eagle is carved from one solid peice of wood not a scroll pattern. It started as a peice of wood 2"X20X20" and I used a draw knife to knock the square corners off to make it round. Hope thisd answered your question. Ron
