Ron,

You are the most inspiring carver I know. Your gift for vision is this piece is the best you have done. The detail, the depth and the design is truely outstanding.

The odds and ends are on thier way my friend, but to do better than this, I think will be a real challenge.

And yes I am new here ....grumble grumble

Hii all ,

I have something I want to share with you. Last week I lost a very special man in my life. I lost an uncle , that was visiting his son who lives in Harper Ferry. This man has always been very close to me, we spent many Christmas together , fished together and spent a;ot of time and special moments together. As my family traveled across the country , he always made time to bring his family to visit us , to join us for fishing trips and to go to baseball and basketball games.
Anyway last week at 85, this man left this world and started the next great adventure. My family and I left to preform the last duty we could ever do for this man.

When I arrived home last night, there was a package waiting for me from Ron. Opening the package enclosed was Ron's Eagle . We had talked about it before I had left and it had fallen to the back of my mind .

But Ron, I must say the carving is more stunning than the pictures show. To be honest , they do not show the depth of the layers , and the detail of the wings head and feathers. I will be in contact soon Ron, but your beyond words. Your gift to be able to produce this type of work in the dark is simply an outstanding blessing.

My friend your truly amazing.

Garry
