I am just curios as to what size of tools you used for this carving. I have a lot of interest in that style and am trying to get started. I know there are post after post about tools but I think it is much easier to ask when you see a particular piece that I think I would want to do. Thanks, Colby

Colby, I used full sized gouges. Primarily a 3/4" #5 sweep, 3/4" #3 sweep and a 3/8" 60 degree V tool for the hair on the goat. ( Phiel and Henry Taylor) This is a very shallow relief....only about 3/8" to maybe 1/2"?

Thanks agin for all the kind words. It was fun to do.

Sorry for the slow response....deer season and some health problems in the family....nothing too serious.

Al
