| | Covered Bridge I took all the input from everyone and this is what I decided was a good finished peice. Thank you all for your advice I really appreciate it.
I stained the trees and bushes a golden oak and the rest I used a light pecan stain. I have applied one coat of satin finish. Again thanks for your help.

| | Re: Covered Bridge I really like the golden oak. This is one of those scenes that reminds me of just the kind of bridge that I'd expect to see a little troll sitting under! Yikes!
Great job! |

Excellent !
My friend you amaze me, and I really like the changes you made. The carving really is good.
OH I am going to try to get the eagle pattern done tomorrow, with a bit of luck I should finish the rifle stock pattern tonight.

| | Re: Covered Bridge Ron, after really studying your last few relief sculptures, I would like to make a professional suggestion. I am saying it publicly, because I think you may hear others chime in with more suggestions that will back me up.
I would like to suggest that you have each of your carvings professionally photographed. The reason is because your quality is improving with such a drastic speed that there is no telling where you are going with this. I feel you are really at the beginning of a very impressive and inspiring career, and that it quite literally needs to be documented.
You may also start to consider a web site to get your work shown to many folks who would be inspired by your talent and success.
That is another very fine carving. Seeing a picture probably doesn't do it justice, but feeling it with hands is probably really incredible.
Keep it up.

| | Re: Covered Bridge Thanks everyone for your comments. Thor I actually am working with someone on a web site as a guest. The pictures could be better but you must relize a blind guy took them so I am lucky they are even the subject I was wanting. Ash I will be sending you a package next week. I will give you a call. I also did receive a call from your sister. Thank you sir.
Ron

| | Re: Covered Bridge Hey Ron, you are really progressing with your relief carving. Everything works really well for me and I like the way you give the viewer the feeling that the water is flowing down hill.
You have an advantage over the rest of us as you appear to have a very sensative touch. You can feel the suttle changes in deepth that we seeing folks have to work hard to remember to do. Hope this makes sense and is not meant to be cruel. I love your covered bridge!
