Default Covered Bridge

Here is the finished covered bridge that I have been working on. I still have to put another coat of finish on but it will have to warm up some. I did stain it with golden oak after I put stain conditioner on. Katy said it looks better that way. let me know what you think.

Ron, that is fantastic! My wife and I just looked at your carivng and I am truly impressed. I have really enjoyed watching this carving come to life. You should be very proud.

By the way, I really like the natural finish...

I don't know if you out did yourself or not my friend but that is one Awsome relief.
Ya need to carve a hand to pat yourself on the back. Really nice. I like it. Hadn't thought to much about the clouds till Dave posted about the strom clouds. Way to go Dave!

Ron, I think the covered bridge looks great. You could probably do about any finish you wanted, and it would not distract from the carving..Tom H

Excellent work,,, still don't know how you do it.I think the finish sets the piece off very well,,, I would leave it just as it is.Your perspectives are right on the money.Job well done.

I think that finish looks pretty good, Ron. After you get your final coat on and dry, buff it a bit with the wadded-up brown paper bag to put just a touch of sheen on it, the flatter surfaces will have just a little bit of shine on them.

Ron,
That is one beautiful carving. I am sorry I have been so long getting back and answering this post but I am having a pile of problems with my computer this is the fourth time I have tried to answer this post and no luck. So I have defragged and checked for virus and I am trying again but it is still not working very well. I hope you get this message you still astound me with your talent sir. There is nothing I would change about that carving it is a Ron Davison original and I love it just the way it is.
Colin
