Default Chris Pye's Hands by Albrecht Durer

Can Chris Pye's Hands by Albrecht Durer project be done as a low relief? In his Elements of Woodcarving book he allowed 15/16 in. for that project. I'd like to do it with only 1/4 to 3/8 in.

Thanks
Chris S
