Default Chip??/Relief?? carved plate in Gallery

Just thought it was about time I put something into the Gallery. It is a combination Chip/Relief carved basswood plate. Very easy to do and kind of fun, I did not have to think to much about this one. It is all done with a
#9--5 MM gouge from start to finish.

Gene,
Beautiful plate!!!
Glad you put the question marks in your title. I can just hear the arguments starting by the purists.

Thanks for the input guys. Yes, it is done with only ONE GOUGE
a Number 9--5 MM....Center of flower is done with the same gouge and then you just go around the flower (outside) and cut straight down, NOT undercut, and then just carve from the outside to the center. The other little lines are cut with the same #9. Such as this ) and then cut into it like this <-
It gives you kind of )<-)<-)<- A little hard to describe but maybe you can see it on the picture. Maybe I can get a little more of a close up of it.

Papasar,

Oh Yes, I should never be confused with a chip carver. I have seen a bunch of chip carving, and I do not measure up to those people. OVER my head for sure, I know Hi Ho, I need to sit up straight.
