Default Chip Carving Round Objects

How is it Done how are the lines made around the object... Take for example Golf Balls I've seen some really good Chip Carved golf balls and I have a few laying around that I removed the outer casings of to practice chip carving. How do you find the exact center line horizontally and vertically around how to you trace straight lines. I got a few books from library and they didnt say and couldnt find anything online or search.

There is a product you can get from a golf store that spins the golf ball to find the exact center. You put the ball in, spin and mark with a small ink pen, works great to find the centers and it is reasonable to purchase. Hope this helps.

Hello Des804,
I've created a video that shows you how to do this on basswood eggs. The same can be applied to other round objects like golf balls. It is video 117 and it is part of the My Chip Carving Platinum Membership. Here's the link to sign up - https://mychipcarving.com/amember/signup.php
