Default Chip Carving / Relief Cross

This is a cross I did with some chip carving (Not easy) and relief I did for my wife. I had hard time doing the chip carving. Hammer

Beautiful work! Ilike the combination of chip, relief and paint. It shows both simple and complex, ruggedness and beauty just as does the meaning of the cross. I'm sure your wife will cherish the gift.

Thumbs Up Oh Mel your wife must be very pleased with your wonderful gift to her. I really like your sensative carving, chipping and color work. Normally I prefer the natural and stained wood, but in this case the color work really adds an additional excellence. Wonderful Work!

Nice job Mel, that is a wonderful carving with deep meaning. That would be a lot of work. I like the design and the texture of the carving.

I left a comment in the carvers gallery, but must say again how beautiful the cross is. Very fine carving.
Your wife must be delighted.

Chipcarving is not hard, but like anything takes practice, if you had difficulty, it could be the chip knife was not sharp enough....?

You did a very good job! It is just the opposite for me the relief takes me forever.

Love the subject and you done it justice Mel. Nothing to be ashame of with that one. Yes, the combination of all three elements and with your talent, pulled together. I like it a lot.
