It does, sorry I had a person recently asked for a clear coat on a piece. The clear coat he wanted was the automotive clear coat. I really think he thought it would be a cheaper method. So in the wrong mind set I asked the question. I thought perhaps they had asked for the same finish.

The gentleman wanted a pickguard with a Japanese rising sun, in .090 thousandths in flame maple, using wood dyes to achieve the colors, instead of paints with automotive clear coat. Then he informed me that , he was sure it could be done with no problems.

I just love it when the customer wants something and then thinks it shouldn't be a problem to produce for someone other than them. Sure right! Your piece sounds interesting.

Well , he was thnking 35.00 for the finished work. I think I gave him a heart attack when I told him I could do inlays cheaper. I suggested he call China
