Default Chestnut log finished at last.

I really did`nt know what I was getting into trying to carve a log with a detail set of knives..LOL!!! I soon found out it was going to be a pretty big task after quite a few hours at the bench it is finally finished. I know the next big carving I do will be done with standard tools. I am pleased with the outcome as it was my first attempt at something of this size...Enjoy...Bruce

You should be pleased, he came out great. I have the same problem as far as tools go. I need to buy some bigger tools also, all I have is mainly palm tools.
Again I really like the carving you did, you should be proud
Mel

Holy cow, that is fantastic, one of the best civil war carvings that I have ever seen. Well done.

I want to thank everyone for the kind remarks I do appreciate them. I sure do enjoy this site and being able to share my carvings with everyone. Carving has always been something I wanted to do but did`nt take it seriously until last July since then I have finished 17 pieces and have 3 walking sticks to do next...Thanks again and what a helpful site we have here, I learn so much from everyone here....Bruce
