Stacey - You've been a phenomenal carver as long as I've know you but in the past year you've taken some incredible steps -- like this door shows.
What happened?

Again, I am so impressed with your design and the work.
I'm really wanting to get my hands on a door to carve.
You told me that you have the doors that you carve built by a professional cabinet builder, but have you ever, perhaps long ago found a commercially made door worth putting that much effort into? I'm curious so that I might try one.

Wonderful work. I so enjoy seeing pictures of your carvings.

Hi Mel, i don't know quite how to take that? but the patterns is a very simple one. the deepest relief is only about 3/4 of an inch, so after drawing the tree it's
just a matter of using one of my routers to cut away all of the background, and rounding of the edges of the tree. there is now detail to speck of so its just mostly sanding. the background i use a power chisel with
flexcut cutters and it goes really fast.
the next door on my list is a full panel door with a wolf, it will take most of a month to do, so it depends mostly on how much detail there is too how long it takes.
Thanks Stacey

, Stacey it's such a joy to see your work. Your edges look so smooth and rounded. The cedar tree is just beautiful and it will look great where ever hung!
