Default Butternut woodspirit

Carved this fellow from a piece of scrap butternut I had tucked away in the corner of the shop. If I were to do it again I would have cut a little more depth into the mustache .Enjoy...Bruce

Hey Dick, I finished the piece with tung oil and when it dried I used Bruce`s lite hardwood floor wax and buffed with a fine brush...Thanks...Bruce

I like it the way it is. I think the mustache quickly disappearing into the surrounding wood matches the rest of the piece.
