Default BLUENOSE, Queen of the North Atlantic

I finished this relief carving of BLUENOSE, in a vertical format for a change. The wood is Basswood, and measures 18" x 12".

The scene shows her under full sail, including the fishermans sail between main and fore masts. Perhaps as she looked as she sailed over to England in 1935 to attend the King's Regatta

Bob, I really enjoy your relief carvings of ships. I can't say that I know one ship from another but they are beautiful carvings with a lot of detail and work in them.

Ah the Bluenose Bob truly a Canadian Icon and beautifully done sir. Love the exact attention you always give to detail in the round and relief you sir are a true artist and I love your work.
