Default bennett springs

this is a piece i have just finished-- its a bridge over a popular trout fishing stream in mid missouri-- called Bennett Springs. the bridge was built in the 30's by the ccc. its on basswood with bark sides 11 X 13. its painted with water colors-- my only objection to this, is i seem to loose the depth when i take photographs. other than that im happy with it.

comments encouraged and appreciated

Nice carving and painting. The depth looks good on my computer.

Nice relief, Chuck. It looks great from here. I can see the depth on my computer. You did an excellent job on the carving and the paint.

Chuck,
This is a neat piece of wood and even neater after you finished carving and painting it. The scene is very well done and the colors are just perfect. Very peaceful looking to me.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark

You sure do paint well. I like the way you blended the colors on the carving.

i do appreciate all the kind words-- i learned the painting from john engler in springfield mo. he is also my instructor when i began relief carving. hes a great instructor often in texas and ofcourse in the midwest--- if you have the oppurtunity , take a class-- he can take anyone from beginner to advanced carver and make it a great experience.

Nice carving. My Grandparents use to take us there to go trout fishing back in the 40's.
