Default Basswood Name Plate

I guess you could call this a name plate. I carved this out of one solid piece of basswood and the finish is 2 coats of 50/50 BLO and mineral spirits.

I made this for my wife's desk at work. She is in a research lab if that helps it make sense for you. In case you can't see it the name is Wendy.

Akumanubis, Very nice work. I like the finish and the design. I would not have seen the name if you hadn't mentioned it.

I could see the name easily. Good disguise in the mouse. The frame with all of the minute details makes it much more than a cute lttle mouse name plate. Thanks for showing it to us.

You definitely stepped out of the envelope on this unique nameplate and no doubt that it generates a lot of conversation. Being carved out of one solid piece of basswood makes it especially intriguing with the frame. Great work and thanks for letting me enjoy it!
