Donna,

I love it! Boy, that would look nice on the wall beside my pool table.

Good Work.

Donna,
excellent job I just love it what a talent now to me that is woodcarving. I would love to be able to do that and you did it without power I am so impressed. You are a true artist it looks as if you had gone out and caught it and had it mounted on the wood. Love seeing your work.

Thanks everybody
And the recipe is..........
hehe just kidding, I lost the recipe
I did find a handy tool on ebay tho, it is a scraper for stripping furnature and paint. I used it in a lot of places instead of sanding and now I'm using it to take some varnish and stain off an old walking staff that I picked up at a flea market about 10 yrs ago. Someone had blasted it with white spray paint over a dark glossy finish. It is a nice stick, some kind of hardwood (maybe hickory) twisty. The scraper comes with several (6-8) blades of different shapes. It goes much faster than the tools I was using, knife, gouge, microplane rasp...
Thanks everyone for the nice compliments!

Donna

Nice fish Donna! It's making me hungry again. I need to make one like it. It would make a good prank towards my kids. They don't like sea food and if I put it in front of them for supper they would freek!

Great job! It comes with it's own plate.

Thanks Teri and Brad!
Teri, I dunno why you would want to be me! LOL I was actually working towards being you! hehehehe Love those santas!

Brad, I'll let you in on a little secret... I don't do sea food either :P :P I don't even like to be near fish! LOL Since I have never seen a bass up close, I just had to use photos off the web for inspiration. Oh well, you don't have to like it to carve it
