Dave, You certainly showing a lot more smarts than I did when I got interested in chip carving. Bought a Swiss knife after seeing Wayne Barton demo on tv. Carved pretty well until knife got dull. No one to ask and too proud to do so, so I put the knife away for a few yrs until I met a carver. Also carve to combat stress and back pain. It works every time. Enjoy making chips! Bill K.
