Default antiquing chip carving

has anyone used the Watco neutral and dark 2/3 neutral to 1/3 dark to finish a chip carving?

Never tried the watco, but I have used dark Briwax. For a look at the result, check my thread "Old World Spoon" under chip carving. I would think the Watco would work similarly. One word of caution, if you're going to do this, give the piece a good half dozen coats with spray deft, or something similar. If you don't, the wax will "seep" in to the grain, causing bleeding.
Just my opinion, others may differ. Good luck, hope it turns out well.
