Here is an update on the releif I have been working on. I am now starting to work on the hair and face areas. It's a very long process by touch but I think the end results will be worth it. I hope I got the hat to look like it should. I have more touch up to do at the end whenever that is. Let me know what you think of it so far good or bad.

Ron,

The underside of the hat brim is perfect! The twist and the depth you have captured there is going to create all of the visual space for the face, hair and shoulders. Great job on that area.

Hi Ron, sorry I've missed out on following your relief carving. I'm really impressed with the work you are doing on this fella. Will try to follow more closely this time. How do you like relief work so far?
Kathy

Colin- No this mountie is not supposed to be a likeness of you. I have another one that I'm working on for your's. It will be awhile though.
Kathy-I really like relief but it takes me alot longer to do. But what the heck I have nothing but time. I'm just working mainly on the old timer right now trying to get him finished before I do the other one. I plan to post another picture in a day or so.
Ron
