Default Acanthus Clock Finished...Finally

Hi Everyone! I hope everyone is having a great holiday! I finished up this clock on Christmas eve. I gave it to my Mother-in-Law as a gift. I started this last year and worked on it here and there. It's basswood and I used a cherry stain and pate wax. Thanks For looking!Happy New Year!!

I also forgot to mention, the roman numerals are my first attempt at lettering, I thought they were going to come out much worse. I guess I was pretty pleased for my first shot. Thanks Again!

Thanks everyone for looking.Mike, it's not really an original design...it's based on a design I saw on youtube by a guy named Rolf Taraldset YouTube - Woodcarving by Rolf Taraldset I was hoping to get this video for christmas but didn't I am going to be ordering it this week and can't wait to try it out. The video comes with his pattern. I just drew this pattern up after I saw the clip on youtube so in a way, I guess it's an original drawing but the idea isn't.

Great work! I really enjoyed seeing it. Wonderful clean carving, and the design is a very challenging one. What a generous gift!
