Default Acanthus carving

I carved an acanthus sculpture from Honduras mahogany, to put in a niche in our foyer. It looked out of place on the old, plain shelf, so I decided to make a new shelf. One thing leads to another, and the final result is posted on picture trail.

I love it! I'm working on an acanthus carving myself and hope it turns out as nice as yours. Mine's basswood.
