??? Â*Now, wait...are you going to burn feathers on your race car or an exhaust system on the duck? Â*I'm just so confused.... :-/
Well if you are working with exotic tecniques like burning feathers then you should have exhaust ducks.

I have found that graphite paper works better than carbon paper for transfering patterns to wood. It won't stain the wood as much with ink.

Â* Â*OK, then lets just start one right here. Â*The webmaster can set one up if we get a good dialog going. Â*I have a Detail Master IV with up to 100 watts of power. Â*However, any setting over about 7 (it goes to 10) and it is hard to tell which is being burnt faster, the wood or my fingers. Â* Â*I already have the overpriced rubber grips and they don't work. Â*I should mention, I use the replaceable tip pens as the fixed tip pens are equally overpriced although I would be they are cooler. Does anyone have a solution to hot fingers?
??? ########I have a razortip dual burner and there is a small hole on the front, with an adjustment screw, I can adjust the heat where it is almost nonexistant on 1 or to where it is way to hot on one....don't know if this helps or if yours has an adjustment like that but ....!

Â* Â* I am considering buying a woodburner in the near future. Â*You have covered nearly all the ones I have been considering exept for Razortip Woodburners. Â*Anyone out there know anything about them? Â*I definitely want one that will burn details in my carvings, not my fingers! Â*Thanks, Callynne
####### I have a dual burner razortip, it works just fine, bought it from chipping away, they had the best price and a couple of specials on tips....very satisfied....!

I vote for the forum! I'am new at burning, using a home made 100 watt with a fixed tip provided by a member of our local clud, gulf Coast Carvers Guild of Sarasota Fl. It works get for where I'am at.

This forum would be great to learn how ya'll do those expert pieces.

I like the idea.

I am looking for the faom mesh heat protectors. I know I have seen them on the internet but can not find them. Can anyone lead me the right direction?
