guess the real question is SHOULD I post?? I have a piece of walnut log about 3' long with the start of a cigar store indian. Started it many, many moons ago. Interests change, jobs change etc...still carving, just don't see myself finishing this one. Is it proper (and where to post) to offer this for someone that may desire to finish it?? I'm not interested in any money for this, new owner would only pay for shipping...thoughts? thanks for putting up with us.. mobjack68 tried several times to throw it away...or reuse it, just can't get there.. |

I would post this in either Off Topic or General Wood Carving. I'm sure someone would be willing to take it off your hands.

You could carve something different out of it, or cut it into smaller pieces for smaller carvings.

Try placing it in carving woods and materials. Thats where I could see it. I think if you took some pictures that would help too. Someone would love a chance at that I am sure. BUT the best bet is to ask BobD FIRST. Always a smartthing to do Best of luck!

Thanks for the response to my post. Trying hard not to cross swords with the local forum constabulary, hence the question. A forumite has contacted me about this and we are drawing up adoption papers as I write this. I'm sure this carving will be seen by others....stay tuned. |
