This really isn't a big complaint or even something that can be fixed on your part but I thought that I'd throw it into the "feeding trough" nonetheless.
I.
The Local Problem:
First, I'm on a dial-up connection (except for those 3 or 4 times each year when the company is paying for my on-the-road Hampton Inn room with free high-speed... Whoopie!) No. 2 is that I live waaaaaaaaaaaay back in the Blue Ridge boondock's and although the phone company has a dsl tower just a few miles away, they have "tested" my location and said that they can't get the signal into my hollow.
II.
The Message Board Problem:
When checking new messages it takes between 2 and 3 minutes to upload a single message page and perhaps about half that time if there are no attachments.

ing a new message is not bad and somewhat more reasonable for a dial-up connection. Browsing the carver galleries is almost out of the question.
This has been a consistent problem for the last several weeks that I've been back on the board which is frustrating since I can only respond to the few messages that most appeal to me. It was always somewhat slow in the past but I don't remember it ever being this sloooooooooow.
I noticed that the display of random member galleries on the top of the page is new and I do realize that by the very nature of this being a graphics-heavy message board with everyone posting pictures could possible be a cause of the longer loading time... but still I wish that I could give every poster the attention they deserve.
I regularly browse the chainsaw carving forum and the pages load very, very fast there and almost everyone is posting pictures.
Oh well, I just thought that I'd throw it out there for what it's worth and I'm sure that the Admin. will make it better if they can while I continue to live in the cyber world of the Neanderthal. Meantime, my participation is greatly limited but I'll do my best.
[end rant]
