Default Sign in question

On my PC when I registered my password and username I checked the Remember my Password box and it works fine on my PC. All I have to do is put in the first letter of my username and pick the work from the displayed box and then the coded password us shown on line and I click enter and I'm in. I also have a Laptop I use occasionally and each time I sign in I must enter my user name and password....each time I must do this. What can I do to have my laptop work like my PC to remember password and user name?

When you click "Remember me" the forum drops a cookie on your machine. The security settings on your laptop may be set to a higher protection level, which would prevent the forum from putting the cookie on your computer...

I set mine to moderate...It's under internet options (Sorry I can't remember more than that for IE, I use firefox...)

BobD,
I checked my settings as you suggest and they are "moderate" and my pop up allowed settings has your address within it. What I hearing from you is though it's my machine that is the limiting factor.
Thanks for you reply

I think so...you might try deleting all of your cookies on that machine and starting fresh; sometimes a corrupt cookie can cause problems like that!

Dump your cookies, clear your browser history and cache, and try again!

I access the site from home and from work without any problems (on different machines)....without signing in. Each has security set on Moderate.

Signed on this morning and lo and behold my password came up automatically like it used to weeks ago. I haven't made a change to my computer for weeks now, it just fixed itself unless of course someone on your end did something. If you fixed it, I thank you. If you didn't all is well with my computer world and I accept it...with much awe and wonder.
