| | Sign in question On my PC when I registered my password and username I checked the Remember my Password box and it works fine on my PC. All I have to do is put in the first letter of my username and pick the work from the displayed box and then the coded password us shown on line and I click enter and I'm in. I also have a Laptop I use occasionally and each time I sign in I must enter my user name and password....each time I must do this. What can I do to have my laptop work like my PC to remember password and user name? |

| | Re: Sign in question When you click "Remember me" the forum drops a cookie on your machine. The security settings on your laptop may be set to a higher protection level, which would prevent the forum from putting the cookie on your computer...
I set mine to moderate...It's under internet options (Sorry I can't remember more than that for IE, I use firefox...)

| | Re: Sign in question BobD,
I checked my settings as you suggest and they are "moderate" and my pop up allowed settings has your address within it. What I hearing from you is though it's my machine that is the limiting factor.
Thanks for you reply |

| | Re: Sign in question I think so...you might try deleting all of your cookies on that machine and starting fresh; sometimes a corrupt cookie can cause problems like that!
Dump your cookies, clear your browser history and cache, and try again!

| | Re: Sign in question Signed on this morning and lo and behold my password came up automatically like it used to weeks ago. I haven't made a change to my computer for weeks now, it just fixed itself unless of course someone on your end did something. If you fixed it, I thank you. If you didn't all is well with my computer world and I accept it...with much awe and wonder. |
