Question Question for admin

I like having my email visible to the other members here

How do we we make our email address visible to the other members

I have been in the User CP email and my email add is typed in correctly

I went to edit option
set ot
allow members to download my profile including email
set it to receive email from members and management

yet still if you click on my name send email
it says that you cannot do it to contact admin to contact that user

You could make it a link like you did for your web site. I assume that you saved the changes.
Now don't listen to me, I am only grasping at straws.

couldn't you "edit profile" and then add it under "signature"? (a second line?)

Hey not a bad idea adding it to signature
I just didn't think about that
I kinda liked it like before where you clicked on someone's
name and got their email and sent email
just didn't think everyone would want their email displayed every time they posted a message
but would be available if you wanted to contact them off the forum

The way I read the instructions is that you are suppose to be able to
send and receive email from other members
just trying to figure out how
I do like the instant message thingy too
it works fine
but I check my email more than I check the forum

Oh well as long as the instant message thing works it iwill be Ok
just noticed that once you send and receive a total of 50 instant messages you will be at your limit
Of coursr you can clen it out any time and get back down to a low # or 0

Hey Ed
It worked I see it in the signature
Just on the old forum you could click on someone's name and get there email if you wanted to contact them off list
I am sure most users here would not want their email visible in their signature but some might want it to where you could click on their name and email them

Gene
If I had not kept reading the instrictions were you were telling someone else about how to do the link thingy in the signature I would never have figured it out

I had to read Rockets instructions several times to figure out the smiley icons

I have to have to have easy and simple to understand instructions
I have trouble reading and understaning but if i ever see it done and watch closely I can do it after that
I am getting older
Like things simple

...ok, now can someone tell me how to keep the board from logging me out all of the time

"remember me" is checked but the board neither remembers me nor does it keep me signed in...

Are your cookies enabled? Also, your security level may have something to do with it. If I set mine to high, like paranoid, no matter what I tell the browser to do with cookies it doesn't let them in.
