I just haven't had time yet...to be honest. I use a Mac at work, and it's totally different, so I really can't get the screen shots at work...and my Honey-do list is already two legal pages at home...so...

Thomas, If you can just snap the screen shots and e-mail them to me, I'll put it all together!

Bob

hey no problem BobD,

let me work on that as soon as i can get this computer from bawking at most commands, (Getting a 580mhz pentium3 to run xp with sp2+ updates on it is tricky)

ill do some print screen buffer captures in jpg files. of the how to path and try to explain as i go along in an email, which might get long,.
becuse As i understand it there is 3 ways to post photos in messages...

1. direct computer to message upload = (thumbnail+attachment) by using the manage attachments button
2. address link from other site = (full size photo in message = no demention size limit) address usually found by right clicking the image in the browser and checking propertys
3. or a upload to gallery then link to message using gallery image address link.. = (full size photo = no demention size limit)

unless i missed a way to do it.

BobD:
Macs are the easiest for screenshots... Hold down the Shift key, the Command () Key, and tap the number 4 key. The cursor changes form a little arrow to a crosshair. Move the mouse to put the crosshair at one corner of the area you want to copy, click and hold down, and drag to the opposite corner, and let up. The computer will make a sound like a camera shutter, and you'll find a new file on your desktop named "Picture.png" if you have OS X 10.4.x, and "Picture.pdf", I think, if you have OS X 10.3.x.

Thomp:
One of the tips that sometimes helps is to always name your files you want to upload using the old 8.3 format - meaning give it a name that is 8 or less regular letters or numbers, a ".", then 3 more letters, usually jpg or gif or tif or bmp depending on the formnt. The final three characters are usually done automatically for you, even if you use Windows on a PC Do NOT use any special characters such as @#$%^&*() in the name, and do NOT use a space. In other words, the "DSCF0015.jpg" from your digital camera is a good name, but "My $10/Photo. bmp" would be a BAD name. The reason for 8 or less characters is that the older software would only allow 8 letters or less.

Hope this helps...anyone who wants more info, please send me a private message and I'll try to help. I travel a fair amount so I might not get a chance to answer right away, but I'll try!!!

Actually Claude, I was planning on showing how to resize using the little windows function...so that doesn't work on Mac...

And things look a little different for me since I use Firefox not IE...

And since most people use a PC...I thought I would make it look as close as possible to what they see!

Ah! Sorry, Bob - I thought you didn't know about the shift-apple-4 feature on the Macs...
