well the color is fixed, now the "new message" icon stays up, even after I have looked at the posts?

That happens to me too, Dave, off and on...I'm not sure why, and Rob is off having surgery, so I'll see what I can do!

I updated the counters which entails rebuilding similar threads, search indexes, statistics, attachments, users, etc... I do this about twice a year. This process must wipe out the new message icon. I submitted a bug to the software company to see if there is a fix in the future.
