Default Message To Short

I have been trying to answer, a thread , Who Are you.
But I keep getting a pop up Message to short, what am I doing wrong?

I have no idea, it did it to me too......sometimes, adding a bunch of periods as in ...........................helps because the computer counts each one

I tried to answer the "Who..." post, and got the same response. Discovered that I had put everything but my name between the [ quote ] and [ /quote] when I typed it in. I tried taking the last line outside the quoted part and it worked. In other words, I think it doesn't count anything between the "quote" tags.

i got the message to short when replying like

yeh,

or something like that,

it appears if your quoting and you type inside quotes like cladue said its not counted, as a post becuse you didnt write anything it recognizes,
then too a reply of less than 10 charters is also not respected as a reply...

not an expert, i just remember when i screw up what i did .... sometimes....
