Default logging on

Every time I get on the board I have to log on. I have never had to do that before. When I log on I type my user name and my password and check the remember me box and it never remembers me. What am I doing wrong or why has it changed?

Default Re: logging on

Hi Larry,
That could be two things, and both of them are related to your computer. If you have not made any changes to your computer (like updating virus protection or security settings) it is probably a corrupt cookie. Cookies are little tiny files that sites put onto your computer; our forum puts one on your computer to remember you. If you've got a corrupt cookie, the forum can't find the cookie when it's looking for it to remember you, but it also won't add a new one. All browsers have the section to clear your cookies in a different area, so you may need to google to find out where it is.

If you have changed things on your computer recently, you may have increased your security settings to prevent cookies from being put on your computer. If your computer won't let the forum add a cookie, it can't remember you.

Best Regards,
Bob Duncan
