Hello every one, I am new at this so bear with me. I have a question. I am a general contractor and I specialize in excavating out existing black berries. I run across major root balls and wonder if they would be of any use for wood carvers? Let me know. russdixon_2@msn.com Thank you |

I can't answer your question, but it sounds interesting. If you click on the Club Search link to the left of this page, go to your state and see if there are any clubs nearby. Contact them, they might be interested.

Hello and welcome, Larchie. It's nice to have you here with us. There is so much to learn here and a lot of great people here to help you. A guy I knew carved rose root balls and they were beautiful. I'm sure the blackberry will be the same. It would be worth drying a couple.

ooooh...Ya know...I have seen em everywhere here and I think I may give it a go! I have carved from Old Roses, they get some good size root balls too. You could post it and just ask folks. I like the way you think larchie! Beauty is everywhere!
