Default Grandfather's tools

Hi,
We "inherited" my husband's grandfather's wood carving tools. He was born in Norway and immigrated @ 1903. It is a 2'x1' case, with 6 drawers of hand tools with wooden handles. It has been in our home since he died 30 years ago and we don't know what to do with it. It weighs a ton and can barely be lifted. Any suggestions on what we can do with it? Throw it in a dumpster? We are 65 years old and want to get rid of it. Thanks for any thoughts!
P.S. I just looked more carefully. The case is made of wood, and some of the tools with blades (chisels?) are hand signed, in cursive, with a wobbly script: "P. Baker"

Regardless of what you do, PLEASE do not throw them away. They would be a priceless treasure to someone who can use them. You may want to donate them to a local carving club or sell them on ebay. If you can post photos here, you might even find a buyer here.

You can dump them my way. I'd be happy to pay the shipping. Just kidding, you should be able to sell them here, put them in the classifieds. A picture or several would be great . Dan

I do not know where you live but I am sure you could find a buyer for them. You can check with a local museum or Email one and see if there is someone in your area that could appraise them. Today new quality mallet woodcarving tools sell from $20 to $70 each depending a size and quality of steel. If you come up with a price I would like to know what you are asking for the set.

I can buy them I am some what of a collector, I would want them as a whole to include the dirt and wood chips that may have fallen into the box.

They are valuable. It is hard to say how valuable without seeing a picture, but I would hazard a guess of upward from $1000 and it could be way upward.
