| | Re: I don't know what to say Rick as you well know from my postings that I have off days and sometimes off months and more. So no need to appologize for anything I will not ramble as I would just be repeating the sentiments in the other posts. Its nice that you are staying and thats all that counts we of course will talk more.
Welcome back my friend and that is from the bottom of my heart.
P.S. BTW that knife you made for me is magic I use it constantly it is by far my very favorite, the magic must have come from its talented maker.

| | Re: I don't know what to say Whew. I was just beginning to think I'd have to leave my cave long enough to drive over and smack you around. Every one of us is a little nuts, my friend (this coming from the biggest nut of all) - we have regular days and then we have dark tunnels, and sometimes we even get to be in the clouds here and there. One of the things that draws me to this board is that we've really become more family than many folks ever get to have - and we don't let a brother go all that easily.
You are loved, my friend - something fierce

| | Re: I don't know what to say Rick,
I'm glad the rest of the people here were able to explain better than I was...I should have just kept my mouth shut...But I did remove a thread, and thought I should explain why...and or course, ended up putting my foot in my mouth. You have my deepest apologies for my mistake!
Now if I could just figure out how to explain to my wife how much I need that roughing out knife <grin>

ITs me the almost new Guy
I deleted the post I had on that thread because I thought after reading it over again it could have been taken the wrong way . I intended for it to read that you where the most popular store owner here and that we / they were using you as a example only because you name was first to come to mind . I truly didn't mean that you were part of a problem and you were going on the grill for it . I did find it very impressive that you were brought up as much as you were . Sounds like you have made some realy close freinds here and I hope to get to know you as well .

| | Re: I don't know what to say Just checked in after being away for a few days. Boy, I'm glad that all got cleared up! But this just confirms what I said on my "hello" post to this forum. This group is a first class outfit! Being human beings, it is real easy to "misunderstand" and to be "misunderstood". It takes people with real heart to work through those situations.
Rick, in the short time I have been here, you have been a real help with your wisdom and knowledge. Good to know your still there!

Whatever it was Rick I am really glad you are still with us. We need you for sure. Youe insight to the carving world and helpfullness to any and all, is OUTSTANDING.
Hang in there Rick! |

| | Re: I don't know what to say whoa wait a minute(just saw this post)...there is no way I would support a departure of Rick from this board...someone who shares our love of carving and provides an invaluable and quality service...no way...
...I hope your temporary departure was in no way related to the thread I posted in support of the service I recently received from you and Theresa because that would not be right. We (the members of the board) utilize this board for the betterment of our art and as a product of that share our insight into our experiences, and my experience with your business called for me to share that experience.

My mistake, it had nothing to do with your post.
To everyone here, thanks for your friendship and understanding.
