Thumbs down how do I find the value of my knife

I have a very old Swedish Barrel knife. It lists Segerstrom Eskilstuna Sweden on the blade. I am trying to find out how old it is and what it might be worth. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

As far as the value of something second hand, there is not much of a value other than what a person might value it them selves. Any prestigious antique is only worth what someone will pay you. I would think that if the knife maker has a good reputation, the knife is in good condition, that you could ask a premium price for that particular kind of knife.

Asking carvers what a knife is worth, will get you a different answer than what you expect. We value it on how well the knife carves , and any other knife that doesn't carve well, ends up in the trash!

If you type "Barrel knife Segerstrom Eskilstuna Sweden" into Google it quite likely will take you to a eBay page that discusses these knives and their value.

Eskilstuna, a older swedish chisel manufacture

eBay Guides - SWEDISH BARREL KNIVES

These might be helpful.
