Hi My husband has a detail master burner with removable tips. He's had it for well over a year, but never changed out the tip that's been in it all this time. He can't get his current tip out of the pen. He's even tried pliers - no go. Are we missing something? Do you have to push something while pulling on the tip itself? Much appreciate any help. |

I had a similar situation with a Colwood unit. I found if you turn the unit on and let the tip heat up, shut it off for a minute then remove the tip it comes out a lot easier. Still not easy but easier. I guess the pens are not designed to have the tips left in them for long periods of time.

Big "duh" here. That was the pen that came with his DM. And most likely wasn't a removable tip in the first place. I found his actual "removable tip" one just yesterday in the art supplies tote he hasn't touched in over a year. |
