| I am a booster parent for a new high school in Elgin Illinois. We are looking for someone to carve two projects for our booster program: 1) A token wooden coin to use in the coin toss at football games 2) A 3/4 foot tall arrow head (open for discussion) with other emblems on both sides to be used as the trophy each season between our school and our biggest rival. Please advise if you are interested in these projects OR can tell me where I can get them completed. Thank you for your time! GO SEHS |

Hello, I would suggest you contact Joe Dillet. He is a professional carver in Somonauk, IL. If Joe cannot help you, he has several apprentices that may be able to do the job. This is JOes web site, he is a very talented carver, and an incredible human being. http://www.thecarvingshop.com/ I would not wait long, he has about 100 wood carvers coming in next week for a week of carving seminars, and fellowship. There will be 10-20 of some of the best carvers in the country there next week. Good Luck, Dan Heine |

Here's that site that Dave mentioned. http://www.wooden-nickel.com/ They have wooden nickles up to 2 1/2" in diameter. Only problem is ya hafta buy a hundred of the darn things. Good point is they will print custom logos and text on them for you, or you can choose from many standard ones. Price per hundred is probably around the same as you'd pay someone to carve ONE. Unless, of course you find someone willing to donate their time. Al |
