Can't get rid of icons

I have no objection to the inclusion of icons in a message. But, when I don't want them they should go away! I keep the No Icon box checked; but, a few minutes ago, I tried sending a message and could not get rid of an Icon in U.S. Office. Very .

I agree Paul. The polish has definitely rubbed off this smiley face Icon idea. It's would seem it's time to move forward.

Thanks Hi Ho, I went back to the message and made the correction. I had not thought about separating the letters. But that's a heck of a way to have to get around having icons inserted even when I have the no icons circle checked.

its too bad that the smileys take over from time to time,

and its a sad thing they couldn't be put to a better use,

in reference i can write damn but i cant write or , or without the smiley's taking over, why cant they be used for keeping profanity out of here.. now that would be a major upgrade

If you click "go advanced" or "post reply" rather than using the quick reply, you can click on the "disable smilies in text" box under "Additional Options."

That allows you to type post office, or cowboy, or anything else you want without the forum automatically converting them to smilies.
