Default can't upload pictures

I"ve been trying to upload a couple of pictures in the gallery.I got one on there, but all my recent attempts have failed. I get fatal error message.I read the different notes people have posted and the FAQ page, but still keep getting the same thing.I'm also computor dumb.Would really appreciate some help and suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong.Also tried to post a picture on the new members site, failed there also. Help me before I take my angle grinder to my computor!LOL thanks sharon

Thank you! I posted it on the gallery, now I know to resize pictures.Have to get someone to help with this computor stuff, like my 12 year old grandson.Thanks for the help, Sharon
