I know I shouldnt ask..but I will anyway. I've really enjoyed the mountain man tuturial thats being posted. Its such a learning experience just watching the progress. What I'm wondering is.. can we have another forum..( I know I know) but this one is for tuturials? So they dont get lost as they move down the line in other forums? Its really GOOD information and shared information and information folks may come back too time and time again. Ms. Irish has alot of them tucked in here and there too.. one that comes to mind is the eye carvings. I myself may try my hand at some tuturials to post. If its not feasable.. just say so. I wont go pout or anything. This is just a question. |

Marci I also think that would be an excellent idea probably a thread that would be used a lot. I know that I save all the tutorials on my computer but if they were on a thread that would make it so much easier for everyone. Great idea Marci. Colin

Yes, please! A sub-forum for tutorials! I feel sure many of the browsing non-member are looking for information like that. I know I wouldn't mind reading a few.

How about making it a 'read only' forum so that it will not get cluttered up with a lot of other posts? Questions/comments could be addressed on the regular forum. Jerry |

This may open a can of worms...and send the other moderatos scurrying...but... Are there any forums we may want to think about combining? We are getting a bit long on the tooth...and some people may not want to scroll down 2 screens to find all the topics... My first thought would be to combine animal and bird carvings...but I don't want to cause any waves... Any thoughts? Cause I really like this idea too! Bob |

How about finishing and painting combined with tips and techniques and characture and holiday combined as well just a thought if we need to shorten the catagories. It doesnt matter to me I usually like Hugh read the new posts catagory unless I want to look up something specific and that is easily done by doing a seach anyway. Just my thoughts Colin

the advantage to the extra threads is that you only have a couple of posts in each normally, and not as easy to miss any. if there is a bunch in a thread....very easy to miss some...imho some people get very upset if they ask a question and no one answers.

How about leaving the gol darn thing the way it is? It never ceases to amaze me how "some" people feel they have to "suggest" doing something different just for the sake of making a "suggestion" , that goes for life in general as well as internet forums. Well thats my "suggestion"!Talking OG |
