I'm new to this and am trying to find out if there are any woodcarving shows anywhere in Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont this coming weekend (1/29-1/30). My husband and I are willing to drive a couple of hours. We live in Northern NH in the White Mountains. I looked under the Calendar of Events and didn't see any, but wondered if there are other places to look. Also, I'd love to find a store that sells woodcarving supplies and wood in this area. Any ideas? Thanks! Patty G. |

I do not know how close it is but I get a catalog from MDI woodcarvers that has 17 Dougherty Road Burnham Maine phone 207-487-3100 . You may be able to get info from them. Hope it helps.

Patty, I've looked at every source I have and never see anything for January and February in New England. My guess is that it's too cold and snowy to plan something like that. Paul Ward is big in the New England Wood Carvers, which covers all three of those states. If I remember right, they meet one weekend a month at various locations. Let me know if you want his contact info and I'll look it up for you. Vermont has a big show in north-central part of the state in early fall. I've been to it, but don't recall immediately when the rest of the shows are. PM me if you want more info. Donna_T
