carved this lil wren , carved a piece of ceder hes on to resemble rocks and carved the moss with a very pointed diamond cutter.

Hey Errol, I tried the ole' rocks out of wood trick a few months back to mount on a walnut base for a goldfinch I'd done. Looked like little poop piles, so I scrubbed the idea. More power to ya!

Well old buddy, it looks like yer still practicing, ha ha, I really enjoyed your post a few days ago. Hell man, if I could carve as well as you do, I'd be giving lessons. Tell me, how long ya gonna be able to keep haulin that 5 th around with the price of fuel goin the way it is?

thanks fellows, well Cliff, I'll keep going , maybe not as far at one time, but the way I travel, I may go 200 to 300 miles, then stay at one place for 4 to 6 weeks. Thats how I have always toured around. I just have to budget my fuel. I do sell my carvings from time to time..Just sold one 2 days ago, that was $125.00 , that will buy a "little" diesel LOL!
