Default Working With Stiller Patterns

hi i am having some trouble carving a screech owl with this pattern it seems to be for detailing the feathers any tips please thanks leo

suggest you go to the forum where the bird carvers are-- they will likely have better advice than those of us who carve other things

Hello Leo, The pattern you recieved from Stiller is also used to cut out your pattern for the owl. First copy the original, then cut out the front and side view's. Then use these as a template when you are cutting the wood. Any other questions please let me know. Bird carver

Screech Owls are probably the most photographed Owl in N.America. And seeing as they frequently live in our suburban areas of any major city you might get lucky and get a chance to photograph one. Check out the internet.....there are lots of good photos for reference. Just make sure that when looking for images click on larger or largest images and that way you will be able to get really good tight close-ups for research.
